We have had such a fun week in room 6 this week.

On Monday we went to Whitelee Windfarm, and spent the day learning about Wind Energy. We had a tour of the Wind Farm and even got to give one a hug! We enjoyed doing experiments to find out about wind, solar and hydro energy. We learned that there are 215 turbines at Whitelee, and they are really tall. We also learned that they are programmed to turn to face the wind at all times, which we thought was very interesting!

On Tuesday we started our new sound, ‘u_e’. We have also continued to look at telling the time to half past and o’clock. next week we will learn quarter past and quarter too.

We have finished our revision topics in Numeracy, and will be moving onto Division next week. We will be consolidating our spelling words for ‘u_e’ and ‘a_e’.

A massive shout out to the whole entire class, as we were awarded a Star Citizen certificate for our wonderful behaviour at Whitelee Windfarm.

Pupil Voice:

Colton: ‘I enjoyed drawing a bar graph today’.
