Good afternoon,

Room 1 have had a great day celebrating World Book Day! It was lovely to see everyone in their comfy clothes and excited about reading. We carried out lots of different activities to mark the occasion.

This morning we created our own bookmarks and then shared with all our friends our favourite books that we read at home. After break we read the book ‘How to Grow a Dinosaur’ and we talked about the importance of the front cover. We then designed our own front cover for this book. Room 1, 2 and 3 then joined together to take part in a reading river in the corridor. In the afternoon we had buddy reading with Primary 4, which they all enjoyed hearing a story read by the older boys and girls. Room 1 finished the day off with a book quiz created by the reading ambassadors . We did very well and got 8 out of 10 .
