Welcome to our first blog of 2025! We hope you all had a wonderful holiday and would like to wish you a Happy New Year.

We have had a fantastic start to the new year in Room 27. We started off the week by setting goals for ourselves that we would like to achieve over the year.

We have been revising our times tables to help us with multiplication and have started a new Maths topic about shape.

For writing, we are learning about the persuasive genre. Our first piece took the form of an invitation to our Showcase next week (Thursday 16th, 1.40-2.40pm). Look out for this in schoolbags today – you will be so impressed!

IM: “I liked Scottish Country Dancing.”

AM: “I enjoyed writing my invitation.”

JD: “I liked learning the days of the week in French.”

KH: “I enjoyed learning about shapes and their properties.”

FM: “I liked the game where we were learning to describe shapes.”

BM: “I enjoyed decorating my invitation.”

FNQ: “I liked learning about the dinosaurs with Miss O’Brien.”
