Happy Friday!
This week we have been consolidating our learning in our phonemes, practicing all the ones we have learned so far, next week we will be focusing on the ‘au’ sound. We have also been working hard in Maths focusing on addition, next week we will be moving onto subtraction. We also met our new buddies from Primary 6 who we will read with every week!
In writing, we wrote all over our desks to practice joining sentences together using conjunctions ‘and, because, when, if and so’ and had so much fun. We also spent time using the I-Pads to read bug club books which all the children loved.
In our topic, we finished learning about Hibernation and made bird feeders with cheerios and pipe-cleaners and we also finished learning about Germs and finished creating our Germ posters.
Next week we are moving onto our topic ‘Christmas Around the World’.
We have been practicing our Christmas Songs for our concert which are:
- Santa Claus is Coming to Town
- Rudolf the Red Nose Reindeer
- Merry Christmas Everyone
Special congratulations to Jess for being our ‘Star Citizen’ and Ari for winning the ‘Brightest’ student for Be Bright Day.
Thank you for another fantastic week Room 6, have a lovely weekend!
