Newton Farm Primary School and Nursery Class

Our Week in Room 27

We started to learn our new phoneme ‘sh’ and the representations ‘ch’ and ‘ti’. There were some tricky words in these lists!

In Maths, we have been practising addition with carrying using the written method. We have been working on measure and had fun using the trundle wheels, metre sticks and measuring tapes to measure the length of different items in our classroom. We have also been practising our times tables.

We created skeletons with Miss O’Brien and have also done some spooky art to celebrate Halloween. We had a great time at our party on Thursday afternoon. Miss Higgins and Miss Macfarlane were very impressed by our costumes and outfits and especially our dance moves!

“I enjoyed the Halloween party on Thursday.” SM

“I liked having the extra playtime for being the best line.” AW

“I enjoyed reading “The Butterfly Lion'” AR
