Room 24

This week in room 24 we started our swimming lessons at Eastfield Lifestyles. It was an exciting experience and super busy trying to get organised so fast in the morning!

In P.E. we have been trying to complete a challenge called Tarp Turnover when there are 15 people on each team and each team has a large tarpaulin sheet. The aim of the game is to flip the tarpaulin over to the other side while everyone is still standing on it. No-one is allowed to step off the tarp and it was really tricky! We tried it last week and no-one could figure out how to do it. This week, we watched a video back of ourselves trying to complete it and thought about what we could do differently. We got there in the end with a little help from Miss Napier!

In art we finished our Rights Charter display by adding our initials collages to it. We cut out lots of different things from magazines that make us ‘us’ like our favourite foods and games and then stuck them to a cardboard cut-out of our first initials. When we added them to our charter wall, this was our way of signing it and agreeing to respect our rights.

With Mrs Reilly, we got to use an ink pad and take our own finger prints! This is because we’ve been learning about mysteries and detective work in our ‘High Rise Mystery’ novel. It was fun to learn that there are different names for different kinds of fingerprint patterns.
