Newton Farm Primary School and Nursery Class

Another busy week in Room 5

The end of another week has come around again, and I would like to say a big ‘thank you’ to all the parents that made it to our Meet the Teacher event on Thursday.  I hope you enjoyed looking around the classroom and that we were able to answer all your questions.

The children have been very busy this week familiarising themselves with numbers to 100.  We are spending lots of time remembering how to write our numbers properly and ordering them correctly.  This is something you could practice at home!

As part of our topic on Super, Duper, You! we drew some self portraits and then made some superhero masks for ourselves.  They look great on our wall display and the kids will bring them home in a few weeks.

Our phoneme revision this week covered ‘oo’ and ‘ee’ so we finished up the week with some dictated sentences and the work was fantastic!

Also a big Congratulations to Georgia, who took home our class mascot Nelly today!
