The Independent Living Fund (ILF) reopened on 1st April 2024, allowing a maximum of 30 applications from Falkirk HSCP for the first year.

The eligibility criteria is as follows:

• There must be a minimum of £800 per week from social work already going into the package
• The person must be 16 or over (no upper age limit)
• The support must be additional to eligible need that would be met by social work
• They will prioritise people that are at risk of going into residential care or where independence is at serious risk
• The maximum award will be £330 per week
• There is no financial assessment
