Substance Use Support

Forth Valley Alcohol & Drug Partnerships (ADPs) have adopted a tiered approach to understanding and responding to substance related problems in Forth Valley. The approach includes all illegal drugs; alcohol; tobacco; solvents & gases, over-the-counter medicines and those prescribed that are commonly not used as directed.

Forth Valley ADPs Treatment & Recovery Service Directory contains information and contact details for substance use support. As a practitioner you may be working with people who are either affected personally by substance use or impacted by the use of others.

The services in the directory will be happy to receive referrals from all Social Care Team members.

Forth Valley Alcohol and Drug Partnerships and Child Protection Committees 2019 have provided guidance on Getting Our Priorities Right for Children and Families affected by Parental Alcohol and Drug Use (2019).

SUPPORT FOR CHILDREN & FAMILIES
Forth Valley Family Support Service run Family groups in each council area. More information can be found on the website or page 50 of the directory.
Time for Us support to children and families where children have been impacted by substances.
Barnardo’s Forth Valley Substance Service provides support to young people aged between 12 – 18 years (or 25 if care experienced).
