Child Protection and Self Evaluation & Improvement

Underpinning our work with children, young people and their families, we have a focus on self evaluation and improvement. Our Child Protection Committees have improvement subgroups. These groups are responsible for

  • Joint self evaluation
  • Child protection performance management information
  • Multi-agency audit
  • Monitoring and reporting on progress of child protection improvement plans
  • Learning from national and local case reviews, enquiries and inspections

To improve outcomes for children and families, we use evidence to effect changes in practice.
