We are delighted that Hillpark Secondary has received accreditation as a “Health Promoting School” from Glasgow City Council. We are very pleased that the City Council has recognised the quality of the work which we undertake within the school to provide a “Health Promoting” learning environment for our young people.
During the review, Council representatives visited the school and spoke to pupils, staff and carers.
The Council recognised the following key strengths of the school:
- The high level of commitment to promoting health and well-being for all.
- The positive relationship the school has with pupils’ carers.
- The satisfaction carers had with the school.
- The range of ways in which children achieve and the celebration of their achievements in assemblies and award ceremonies.
- The extensive range of extra-curricular activities.
- The excellent commitment to equality and fairness for all, including addressing the needs of specific groups.
- Staff’s commitment to and involvement in health and wellbeing activities within the school.
Our thanks go out to all staff, pupils and carers for their support in ensuring that the equality of our provision remains very good.
