On Friday the 24th of March we had lots of fun and games going on in Sgoil a’ Bhac. We raised a staggering £473.00 for the 2017 Comic Relief Appeal. Pupil Council would like to thank everyone who contributed. You can see from the pictures below some of the things we got up to.
Dh’obraich clasaichean Gàidhlig 3-7 comhla a’ cuir biadh ri chèile airson na h-iseanan. Chroch sinn iad air na craobhan mun cuairt a’ sgoil. Tha sinn air a bhith cumail sùil oirre agus tha na h-iseanan air a bhith dhan ith. Ium, Ium!!!
We had a good response to our parent survey for this year and we are now able to share the results following collation of all the responses received. The results of this survey, combined with the results of similar consultations with pupils and teaching staff, have been used to identify and support priorities for next year’s school Improvement Plan.
The report can be viewed here: Parent Carer Survey Report 2016 – Back

Malcolm Macleod Photography will be in Back School tomorrow to take individual, family and class photos. Children should wear school uniform. Photos will begin at 8.30am with the Nursery and families with older children.
Following meetings held recently with CNES and CnaG regarding the proposed changes to the provision of Gaelic After School Club at Sgoil a’ Bhac, a consultation is being circulated to establish the level of interest in a paid club run by CnaG.
In the first instance, places will be made available to pupils in Gaelic Medium classes and, if there are places remaining, a further consultation will be held for English Medium to see if there’s interest in EM children attending the paid Gaelic club.
We’d be grateful if parents from Sgoil Araich Loch a Tuath and GM1-6 classes could complete the attached consultation slip (page 2) and return it to school as soon as possible.
Today Sgoil a’ Bhac canteen celebrated International School Meal Day with a special menu with an Indian theme. The menu included samosas, beef curry, pilau rice and naan breads. As well as preparing this delicious international feast, our catering team got into the spirit of the day by dressing up for the day. We’d like to thank our canteen staff and all the children who enjoyed our special feast.
