Charity Presentations

Bethesda Hospice

IMG_0170

Last week, we had a visit from Mr DR Macdonald from Bethesda Hospice to collect a cheque for £428.38.

This was a presentation of the funds raised at Christmas time through the raffle of the cake made by our former cook, Mary Stewart and from the silver collection on the concert night.

We’d like to thank everyone who gave so generously to this cause.

God is Good Nursery School, Uganda

With the help of Mrs Macrae, pupils organised a non-uniform day and bake sale in aid of the ‘God is Good’ nursery school in Uganda.

Ishbal Mackenzie came to the school to collect a cheque for £245.40 for their appeal to support the Ugandan school.

Once again, we’d like to thank the children and parents who contributed to this very worthy cause.

Bethesda Cake and Collection

The special cake baked by our retiring school cook, Mary Stewart, was raffled at our two recent concert nights. The draw was conducted this morning by Mary herself and the winner was Mrs Joey Murray. In addition to the raffle raising £179.00, the collection for Bethesda took in £249.38, making a total donation to Bethesda of £428.38. We will arrange for this donation to be presented to Bethesda early in the new year.

Donations to Bethesda

Today we invited Mr Macdonald from Bethesda Nursing Home to the school to receive two donations totalling £200. The first donation was from the Parent Council and the second was from the school.  They are in addition to the money raised directly by Bethesda by their attendance at our Christmas Concert.

We would like to thank Mary, our cook, who made a Christmas cake that was raffled at the concert in aid of Bethesda.
