New School Vision Statement

We would like to thank everyone who returned a response to our vision statement consultation. All the responses have now been collated and we are pleased to confirm that our school vision statement will now be:

Ar Sgoil – Ar n-Ionnsachadh – Ar Lèirsinn    Our School – Our Learning – Our Future

This statement was the unanimously popular choice of parents, pupils and staff. A full summary of the collated results can be found below. Our new vision statement will form an important part of our school identity and will feature strongly around the school and on our documentation.

Royal National Mod Registration

We would like to draw parents’ attention to the deadlines for submission of entries to the Royal National Mod in Stornoway this October. The school will not be directly entering any children into competitions and any parents who wish their children to take part in this event will need to organise registration themselves. The school is happy to help with advice and support relating submission of entries and rehearsal preparation of competition pieces.

 Deadlines:

  • Submission of paper entry forms: Tuesday 31st May 2016
  • Paper submission of own-choice pieces: Tuesday 31st May 2016
  • Submission of online entries: Thursday 30th June 2016
  • Online submission of own-choice pieces: Thursday 30th June 2016

More information about entry and competitions can be found on An Comunn Gaidhealach’s website: www.ancomunn.co.uk
