Mearns Kirk Parish Church School Art Competition

Mearns Kirk Parish Church held an art competition to help celebrate their upcoming Bicentenary Celebration of their church building (1813-2013).

There was an exhibition held over the weekend with a silent auction held on Friday night. It was a unique opportunity to view all the art work depicting Mearns Kirk created by hundreds of pupils from Kirkhill Primary, Mearns Primary, Crookfur Primary and Mearns Castle High School following our invitation to take part in the bi-centenary School Art Competition.

Rapid Response

All S1 pupils will be involved in the Rapid Response event on Tuesday 29th May. This event will be in the form of a challenge day, in school, from periods 3-7 inclusive.

Two weeks ago pupils attended a motivational presentation made by an engineer from CITB who set the scene.  Tomorrow they have the opportunity to play the role of Rapid Response engineers.
