Transition between stages is amongst the most important times in education, and schools in the Mearns Castle Cluster aim to make this as easy as possible for children and parents.

The Cluster includes Hazeldene Family Centre, Eaglesham, Kirkhill, Maidenhill, Calderwood Lodge and Mearns primaries as well as Mearns Castle High School.

Children’s third transition is from their primary school to high school.

Mearns Castle will welcome P7 pupils to a two day induction visit in June.

As part of the induction process, a parent’s meeting for P7 parents will take place.
