Classes have been working hard on the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee topic this term.
They painted pictures, created sculptures and even wrote poems to celebrate this very special event.

Unfortunately the ASN and Disability Parents’ Conference which was due to take place on Saturday 26th May 2012 has had to be cancelled.
Class Jura invited their parents into school for a “Come Dine With Me” experience.
They have been working really hard, planning the menu, shopping for ingredients and then making the dishes.

Class Whalsay have been busy planning and making delicious home baking for you to sample.
They have also made up a Jubilee hamper which they are going to raffle so make sure buy your tickets on the day.
The annual Ardentinny information evening will be held in Isobel Mair School on Thursday 10th May at 7pm.
Come and meet new friends who will be attending the East Renfrewshire Council “Make yours Dreams Come True 8” weekend on Friday 15th June 2012.
Photographs from last years event will be shown and a presentation from Aiden Docherty (Head of Centre) followed by the chance to meet up with your buddy.
A big thank you to everyone at Newton Mearns Baptist Church for the generous donation given to the school at our assembly on Friday.
Pastor Brian More and Martin Kelly arrived at the school on Friday afternoon and presented Mrs Wallace with a cheque for £870.
The money was raised by the Mosaic Gospel Glee concert which took place on Easter Sunday at Newton Mearns Baptisit Church.

Class Orkney were quite excited today as they are off to visit the Scottish Parliament as part of their class topic.
They plan to visit the Debating Chamber, Garden Lobby and one of the Committee Rooms. We look forward to hearing all about the visit later on today.
This is a return visit for Mrs Clark as she was at the Parliament last week with Mrs Wallace presenting at a conference.
The pupils of Class Shetland were excited to showcase their hard work at our school assembly.
They loved working with Phil Goodlad,Sports Reporter from the BBC,learning the skills required for putting together a news report.
Our team of intrepid reporters interviewed Mrs Wallace, Mrs Sim, Kirsteen from the kitchen and a few pupils. They asked some hard hitting questions that Sir Trevor McDonald would have been impressed with!
Their news report included some video footage of pupils saying goodye from the old school and then welcoming our fantsatic new school!
Mrs Wallace presented everyone with achievement certificates at the end for being confident individuals.

Class Tiree chose to do a dramatisation of the Olympics at the Primary Assembly.
They made props, sent out invitations to the parents and rehearsed at every opportunity.
The class had great fun performing and it was great to see everyone become successful learners and confident individuals during the performance.
Class Skye/Lewis held an open event for parents on Tuesday 1st May.
It was held in Corrie House where we had afternoon tea and a plant sale. Hopefully the sun will now shine and help the plants grow!
The Parent Council are organising a fun event to raise funds for the school and Family Centre.
The Race night will take place on Friday 20th April at Pro Scoccer, Rouken Glen Road.
Last few days to order your tickets which is sure to be a great night.

Congratulations to Fabio who is attending the Head Boy Awards at Eastwood House today.
Parent Council Meeting will take place on Tuesday 17th April at 7pm.
Results are out and we can tell you that Andrew from S6 won a gold medal at the Scottish Disability Sports National Cross Country Event last week. Craig S2 got 2nd place and Tonye in S1 got a 4th place. This was great achievement for everyone………… Congratulations.
