Then our final fundraising and social event of the year is Quingo on Friday 2nd June from 7pm – 10pm at Giffnock North Athletics Social Club.

Quingo is a family fun night with a quiz, prize bingo, raffle and kids disco.  Tickets are priced at £5 each which includes pizza and pakora. Infants are free and larger families will only be charged for up to two children’s tickets.

Quingo tickets will be on sale in school in the front playground on Friday 19th May at drop off and pick up.  Any remaining tickets after the 19th can be reserved by emailing giffnockpc@hotmail.co.uk and if we are oversubscribed, we will have a waiting list so please notify us if you buy tickets but can no longer attend.

If you can help with donations of prizes, please do get in touch with the PC.

We had a fantastic night last year and we are looking forward to seeing lots of families there again this year.

Thank you for your continued support.

Christmas Fair Stalls

P6 pupils blew ‘The Dragons’ away yesterday afternoon during their very professional pitches for investment from the Parent Council for their Christmas Fair stalls. They have come up with four very creative ideas which they researched and budgeted. Finance secured, the classes will now go into production and then start marketing their products so look out for information on the school website and twitter feed and get along to the fair on Sat 3rd to snap up their festive gifts. Well done P6!

Parent Council – Wear Something Seasonal Friday 2nd December/Christmas Fair

The Parent Council have asked us to share the following information with you.

‘Wear Something Seasonal’ – Friday 2nd December

To support the School’s Christmas Fair on Saturday 3rd December, all children are able to wear seasonal accessories (for example a hat, hair-band or jumper) alongside their normal uniform on this day.

If you can, we would also ask for donations that you can provide for the Christmas Fayre to be brought in that day. We need prizes for the raffle and red items for the very popular red stall.

Everyone loves home baking and it is critical for the tea room, so we need your cakes (and tiffin and shortbread and scones….)

Many thanks in advance!

The Parent Council.

Parent Council Run Scotland Event

In September the parent Council organised the Run The Length of Scotland event to raise funds. Every child who took part ran a mile and collectively on the day all children ran the equivalent distance of Dunnet Head Lighthouse (the Northern most point in Scotland) to Mull of Galloway Lighthouse (the Southern most point). The children organised sponsors and then ran in the school playground.

This was a great event and Giffnock Primary ran from one end of Scotland to the other! The event raised an amazing £4431, so many thanks to the Parent Council and to everyone who helped and took part!

CHRISTMAS FAIR

Saturday 5th December 12-3pm

We need YOUR help. We’ll be running a RED STALL again! Friday 4th December, your child is free to dress as they please, as festively as they like – in return we’re asking that they bring in a donation to the red stall for the parent council to sell at the fair. This was hugely popular last year and raised hundreds of pounds! Suggested donations could include Christmas decorations, candles, chocolates, red wine, toiletries…anything red!

We have a fantastic day planned for the whole family. Loads for the kids to do, beautiful stalls for your Christmas shopping, tea room with home baking, petting zoo, and much more. Please come along and support the event!

Thank you!
