Eco Committee

Giffnock Primary has an active Eco-Committee whose members are chosen from Nursery to P7. Further information is in the Eco Committee leaflet here:

Our current action plan is below:

Eco Committee Action Plan 2017-2019

Our committee members this year are:

P1A Elspeth, P1B Holly, P2A Sophie, P2B Mitchell, P3A Jack, P3B Martha, P4A Ailis, P4B Heather, P5A Erion, P5B Scott, P6A Innes, P6B Abby, P7A Moya, P7B Amy

Class representatives attend regular meetings. They provide feedback to their class about different initiatives and activities we will be supporting and taking part in. They ensure the Eco noticeboard is kept up to date informing everyone of future events.

Giffnock Primary is an Eco School!

We are delighted to say that our Green Flag was renewed this summer. A big thank you to Eco Committees past and present! We are continuing to focus on Litter and the classes take part in litter-picking rotas on a weekly basis. We have taken delivery of new recycling bins and will be recycling some of our litter instead of putting it in the bin.

We continue to support Fair Trade as part of our work on sustainability. We are working with the Rights Respecting School committee and looking at the work of Wateraid and Justadrop charities who do great work supporting communities to have clean water.

Keep a look out for our Twitter feeds and keep up-to-date with our latest ventures.
