Through science, children and young people develop their interest in, and understanding of, the living, material and physical world.
Scientific concepts are taught under five key areas
- Planet Earth
- Forces, Electricity and Waves
- Biological Systems
- Materials
- Topical Science
Science will usually be learned as both part of specific class lessons and in other, inter-disciplinary contexts. STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) experiences may be one part of this.
