Each year East Renfrewshire Council runs a competition in primary schools to deign pictures for a road safety calendar. The entries are always of a very high standard and this year two Giffnock pupils have won in their age categories!
Sean in 7 won the P7 category and Cameron in 4 won the P4 category. Also highly commended were Evie from P7 and Molly from P3.
Sean and Cameron attended an awards ceremony at Council Headquarters today and received their prizes. Well done Sean and Cameron and well done Evie and Molly!
The calendars will be given to schools in January 2016.
Children from Nursery to Primary 7 have been working hard to develop their understanding of money. Each class has been learning how to count and budget their money as well as hopefully make a profit. Primary 6 have also been working alongside Virgin Money to create their own mini-business with the investment of £5. An article on the ERC website can be found here. An image of the article in The Extra (13/3/14) can also be found below.
All classes invite you to attend the whole school showcase on Friday 28th March between 1.30pm and 3pm where representatives from each class will talk you through their project.
We are very pleased to share our recent report with all parents of our nursery and school.
We hope you can take a few minute to read through our report and see the excellent work being carried out in our nursery.
