Jubilee

Today we celebrated the Queen’s jubilee. We have been watching videos on YouTube and fun episodes of cartoons with the Queen in them.

Today we did lots of crafts. We decorated crowns. We were confident individuals choosing colours of crayons to colour in the crown. We had a jubilee snack with special plate and enjoyed our lunch on special paper plates too. We have been looking different places in London. We matched the images and some confidently matched the words to the pictures. We collected part of a flag and were able to put the pieces together to create the whole flag picture. In the afternoon we decorated biscuits using icing and red, white and blue sprinkles and some edible crowns.

We hope everyone has a lovely holiday weekend.

Everyone loved playing in our themed tuff tray and we made a fantastic flag using coloured rice. We ended our day today with a Jubilee party which included bubbles, karaoke, dancing and balloons! Have a lovely long weekend Sunflowers!

Jubilee Fun in the Daisies Class!

* SUCCESSFUL LEARNERS, EFFECTIVE CONTRIBUTORS, RESPONSIBLE CITIZENS, CONFIDENT INDIVIDUALS *

The Daisies have enjoyed learning about the Queen’s upcoming Platinum Jubilee. We enjoyed watching some animated cartoons about the Queen and particularly enjoyed a cartoon about her corgi saving her wind blown hat!

We made royal jubilee play dough using flour, vegetable oil, water, yellow food colouring, glitter and gold paint. We used this to complete crown play dough mats.

We made paper plate crowns and enjoyed trying them on.

We also followed order forms to complete the Queen’s crown showing how many sequins she had asked for.

Finally, Harry and Logan practised following the patterns on Jubilee worksheets. They were both very focused during these tasks.

Effective Contributors     Confident Individuals

For Fun Friday this month, the Snowdrops celebrated the end of our Toy Theme with a Teddy Bear Picnic.  Everyone made confident colour choices to decorate our own teddy bear ears and danced together to some teddy bear songs before participating in a teddy bear hunt for cuddly teddy bears and teddy bear biscuits.  We then headed to the  PE hall for some fun games  before enjoying some picnic snacks with our teddy bears! Lots of fun for the Snowdrops!
