Magic Carpet Moments!

* RESPONSIBLE CITIZENS, EFFECTIVE CONTRIBUTORS, CONFIDENT INDIVIDUALS *

Most of the Bluebells class enjoyed exploring the mobile magic carpet. We had fun exploring paint splatter, cosmic nights and marine fish apps and also played some pair games.

One child was a little unsure of the magic carpet and chose not to touch it saying it was “scary”. We will use this more often in the class in the hope that they become more familiar and confident.

FAOL -Enterprise Macmillan Snack Morning

Today we had a Macmillan snack morning with all the other infant classes. Yesterday during our cookery time we decorated cakes and biscuits with two different types of icing and used sprinkled. We had to use the rolling pin to roll one type of icing and then mix the other type using a spoon. We had lots of fun and were confident at rolling and mixing independently at times. Today we sat at a very long table in the corridor with lots of our friends and ate some green snacks and some of our own snacks too. It was an enjoyable morning. 🙂

Muggles make a mosaic

The Oak boys were effective contributors when they worked together to make a Harry Potter mosaic piece of artwork.  We watched a DVD clip and then discussed how Harry looked before making him out of paper.

Well what an afternoon, everyone loved the drum kit! Smiles all round and excellent concentration when trying to listen to the music and tap the beat.

A room filled with confident individuals, when engaging in their music lesson. The Oak gang are currently working on two songs; ‘I’ve got a feeling’ and ‘Make your own kind of music’.

Delight!!!

Last Friday we had a lovely time at the Fun day – we saw the Ponies, Owls and lots of other fluffy animals.

In keeping with our theme we made four different types of Angel Delight. Some of them we made in the big mixer, and presses the switch to make it mix – others went old school and used a rotary whisk!!! Then tasted them to decide which one we liked best, the Bluebell Class joined us for the tasting.

Assembly was about Harvest – and even better it was Sensory!!

This morning we went on a Literacy Hunt to look for symbols to put on to our Board.

Focused Area of Learning – Outdoor Learning – Autumn Leaf Hunt

* SUCCESSFUL LEARNERS, RESPONSIBLE CITIZENS, EFFECTIVE CONTRIBUTORS *

The Bluebells class loved going on an autumn leaf hunt in the Dean Park. They had to search for autumn coloured leaves. We were lucky enough to see some falling from the trees as it was quite a windy day. We gathered lots of coloured leaves and have brought them back to class to make an autumn art collage.
