Today it was snowing. We enjoyed watching the big flakes falling from the sky at morning group. We bought some snow inside to put in out tuff tray and explored it with our hands. It was very cold we made snow balls and even added some food colouring to change the colour of the snow. In the afternoon we went outside to the playground to explore the snow beneath out feet. We heard it crunch and it was slippy so we had to be very careful.

Colours

Yesterday we explored colours.  We explored our colour boxes and matched the correct objects to the coloured box. We also matched the coloured fish to the matching coloured bowl.  Some of the Bluebells played a game where they rolled the dice and then put the coloured cylinder onto the balancing ladybird. Some also matched the coloured word on the teddy to the correct coloured top and scarf. We also explored coloured shapes and put them into the shape sorter.  We also used different coloured crayons to make marks to colour in our 2022 crowns. Today we used lots of different coloured squares to collage on our 2022 numbers.

FAOL – Whole school

The Bluebells were all confident individuals and participated in our class Christmas show. Most pupils helped make props for our Christmas show. They were all able to follow instructions and bounce up and down to the music.

I am so proud of them all for their participation and hoped you liked the show.

Christmas Party and special visit

The Bluebells had lots of fun today. We had a special visit from Santa this morning and his special elf. He gave us all a lovely gift and we also got to toast marshmallows with Mr Nicoll.  We were confident individuals getting our picture with Santa and responsible citizens when around the fire toasting marshmallows.  All of the children really enjoyed this.

We also had lots of fun at our class Christmas party. We played games like pass the parcel and danced to songs. We loved dancing to the “hokey cokey”. We also jumped on the trampolines and played with balloons. In class we played pin the nose on Rudolph and did some festive bowling. It was a super day.
