Hello Daisies!
We are missing you all lots, and hope you are enjoying the sunshine.

At school, we were learning all about bugs and insects by watching ‘A Bug’s Life’.

Miss Couser went on a bug hunt in the park and found lots of different insects!
Have a hunt in your garden or local park to see if you can find any. You could take pictures with a camera or phone and share them in the comments.

Spring Holiday Fun
Hi Daisies!
We hope you all had lots of fun over the spring holidays, and got to enjoy the sunshine. The Daisies ladies have been busy doing lots of different things, but we have been missing Willowbank and all the boys in the Daisies class lots!
Miss Couser spent the holiday doing lots of tiding and painting in her house. She also enjoyed having a few pajama days reading books and watching lots of movies, and spending lots of time with her rabbit, Arlo, who enjoyed the extra cuddles.

Mrs Moran has been busy decorating too, and did a great job of painting her garden fence. She has been spending lovely time with her family and made their own ‘Countdown’ inspired game which was great fun. Mrs Moran also did a very important job by helping Mr Moran to cut his hair!

Miss Wilson has been enjoying the lovely weather and has been spending time in her garden planting flowers, and has gone for some walks at the seaside. She has also spent time relaxing and reading books.

Mrs Cogswell has been enjoying the sunshine with her family and has gone of lots of walks. She has been showing off her art skills making rainbow pictures for her window to thank everyone who is working hard to help each other.

What activities did you do during the holidays? We hope you had lots of fun!
School App
If you already have School App for Parents for a child in another school, you can still add the Willowbank App. Just go to the settings icon on the top right and add Willowbank. You can then switch between school from here.

Activities in the house

Welcome Back Stars Class
Hi everyone. Mrs Gardner here. The ladies and I are all missing you. Hope you are enjoying the sunshine as we definitely are. I have been tidying the garage, doing some gardening and have been doing facetime quizzes with my family which have been great fun.

Mrs Westerman has been tidying out her huge shed. She had so much rubbish she had to hire a skip! She has been enjoying walks with her dog, Storm, and took this photo of some sheep she saw the other day.

Mrs Logan has been busy with her children, Adam and Amy. They have been doing treasure hunts, baking and enjoying walks. They made a wee family rock garden with their names on. Mrs Logan has also been keeping fit with Joe Wicks and online Zumba classes.

Mrs Chisholm has been doing lots of activities with her children Evie and Owen. They have enjoyed going to the park, made lovely ‘Thank You’ rainbows for their window and had a yummy barbeque the other day.

Every Monday I will post an activity for you to do with your family, if you wish. It is not compulsory but might be fun to do. The theme this term is, ‘The Great Outdoors’ so I thought it would be nice to make ‘Natures Crowns’ or ‘Natures Wristbands’.

You can use twigs, flowers, leaves or clippings from bushes. The choice is yours! We’d love to see any photo’s or maybe you could leave a comment on the blog. Mrs Chisholm’s children made wonderful rainbow pictures to thank key workers and the NHS. Maybe you could make a thank you poster for your postman or dustbin men.

Have Fun. Stay Safe.
Challenge #1
I will be posting a new challange on Monday but I wanted to pop something on here just now for you to start working on as this task may be on-going. For this task I need your help.
My Mum (Mrs Woodburn) is a nurse at Crosshouse hospital and is working with lots of patients who are in hospital for sometimes long periods of time. Usually they have daily visitors or can go for a walk to pass the time but at the moment this isn’t possible.
Staff at the hospital are reaching out to children and young people to create and send in pictures, artwork or stories to help cheer up their wards and to help keep the patients smiling. This is your task! I will post some ideas below for you to create something bright and cheery. If you post pictures here of the finished product I can safely print them off and send them into the hospital for you.
Ideas:
all you need is coloured paper, scissors and glue to make this cute rainbow.
create a handprint rainbow if you have any paint at home.
take part in a nature scavenger hunt and creat a rainbow with the colours you find!
if you happen to have some bubble wrap hidden up the loft, now is the time to get it down and have some fun!
Simple but effective way to create a ‘magic rainbow’ of you have any paint at home.
you could make some inspirational rocks to hide in a place of your choice.
Alternatively, if you have access to a printer, this link takes you directly to Twinkl where there is a NHS apprecitation themed colouring in template to download. *click below*

Hello from the Beech class!
Hi everyone! Beech ladies here with a little update on how we are all getting on and what we’ve been up to!
We are missing each and every one of you so much – hope that you are all keeping safe and well during this time.
So…
Miss Woodburn here – So I’m trying hard to keep as busy as possible by becoming a bit of a DIY guru around the house and learning how to cook (with a little help from my favourite Itallian chef – Mr Dicampo!) As well as enjoying some of our glorious sunshine in the garden, I am exercising lots and very much hoping to lose some of the many pounds I seem to have put on during lockdown! Missing you all millions – can’t wait to hear how you’re all getting on!

Mrs Wilson has been very busy spending time with her fur family and making lots of crafts! She made some very special gifts for our NHS workers as a token of gratitude and appreciation. Here is a sneak peak at some of her rainbow crafts!

Mrs Shields has been busy decorating, going lovely family walks in the sunshine and getting arty! Check out some of her creations!

Mrs Brady has been spending quality time with her children and doing lots of crafts! Looks like fun!

Mrs and Mr Howie have been busy redecorating and enjoying time in the sunshine! As you can see, her dining room has been turned into a temproary gym/sewing room/craft space and DIY room! Mrs Howie clearly isn’t one for relaxing!

What have you guys been up to?
Finally – as a class, we will be posting a weekly task or challenge for you to complete. These tasks will be completely voluntary and adaptable! Please only use these for ideas or if you feel they would be helpful or fun for your young person
If you do decide to take part in our activities or challenges, feel free to share photos or comments here on the blog. I would love to see your efforts!
I will post a challenge or task every Monday so keep an eye out.
In the meantime – stay safe. Stay home
Happy Birthday!
Thanks to Patrick and his mum for sending this birthday greeting to Ethan!
