SLC Return to School Arrangements 15th March – 1st April
Please find attached the remote learning grids for this week below. We will publish details on the phased return of all year groups in the next few days.
Good Morning
We have had to make some last minute changes to our timetable for next week. The changes only affect S4-6 Design and Manufacture pupils who will no longer be in during week 3. Please see the attachment below for details.
As always, pupils must check their class Team to see if they are expected in school.
The timetable for next week’s practical lessons is now available to view via the attachment below:
The newly formed Gender and Sexuality Alliance (GSA) at RBA came together as we wanted to ensure our new school provided an inclusive and welcoming ethos for all people no matter their gender or sexuality. Robert Burns Academy is committed to ensuring every student feels included and respected. The group consists of pupils of all year groups and a number of staff and we aimed to provide pupils with lots of opportunities to promote LGBTQ+ equality in the Campus. For our first task, we wanted to let our whole school community know why we have set this up and why it’s important to promote equality across the Campus. We decided to set our first task around Purple Friday, which takes place on the last Friday of LGBT History month – a month to celebrate the LGBT community and to raise awareness of the importance of inclusion, equality and acceptance. The GSA have planned several events and tasks which will take place over the next few months. If you would like any more information about the GSA, get in touch with Miss Ross – eacara.ross@glow.sch.uk
The attachments below have this week’s remote learning topics.
The timetable for week 2 of senior phase practical lessons is attached below. Please remember that attendance during these times is vital in completing work towards National Qualifications. School transport will run as normal for those who usually make use of it.
Today we had over 90% attendance from our young people in S4-6 who were expected in school to continue with their practical work. This is a big improvement from yesterday and we thank our parents and pupils for their commitment to their qualifications.
The attachment below has the timetable for the week beginning 1st March. It is essential that pupils only attend school if they have been notified by their teacher on their class Team, even if their subject and class are on this timetable.
