THE ROBERT BURNS ACADEMY

It is my great pleasure to welcome you to The Robert Burns Academy — our aim is to provide a vibrant and inclusive learning community where every pupil is supported to thrive. At our heart is a simple but powerful vision: “Where we belong… where we reach our potential.” This vision was created five years ago in partnership with our pupils, parents and community members during the creation of our school from the merger of Cumnock Academy and Auchinleck Academy. This vision still holds true today.

As a school community we believe that every young person is an individual and has unique strengths and the ability to achieve great things. Our commitment to achievement means that we set high expectations and provide the encouragement, challenge, and support needed for all to succeed — academically, personally, and socially.

Respect is a cornerstone of life at The Robert Burns Academy. We are working towards creating a culture where every member of our community is valued, is heard, and where diversity is celebrated. We believe that through mutual respect, strong relationships, and open communication, our communities will grow stronger.
