This Week’s News 

P1a, P1b and our Nursery children took part in a Ceilidh on Tuesday afternoon. 

In the playground,  P1a were making haggis homes with Mr Tyson. (Photos on our website) 

P2 have all moved seats this week and they are working hard at their new tables to be “table of the week” winners.  They are also enjoying their class story – Mrs Jolly’s Brolly and have written character descriptions. 

This week in P3b they have been working on a project about a Scottish person and Elise is going to a wedding. 

In P4a they took part in various Highland Games activities.  Pictures of these are on the school website. 

This week P4b have started their Viking topic and learning about money in maths. 

On Wednesday P5 went on a hillwalk around Carsphairn along an old road that was used by Mary Queen of Scots (photos on our website) 

P6 performed their assembly for the whole school and their parents.  it was about Valentines day and everyone really enjoyed it.  The nursery children came and enjoyed singing along to the Frozen songs. 

In P7 they had a visit from First Base for a talk on the dangers of drugs 

Our P6 and P7 classes enjoyed a visit to the Fullarton Theatre to see Treasure Island.    

 

Coming Up Next Week: 

A reminder that the school is closed for mid term next week, 16th, 17th and 18th February. 

P1a and P1b will be taking part in a food tasting on Thursday. 

P5 are reminded that their forces challenge design has to be completed.  Their next video conference will be on Monday 23rd February at 1:30pm 

 

Community News

A big thankyou to Craig Galloway in P5 who helped load a lorry last Saturday with clothes and other donations being sent to help refugees in Iraq. The school got a phone call to especially thank Craig 🙂

We will announce children’s / family daytime films which will have a 4.00pm start time at a later date as we are still unsure of what we will be programming for May and beyond.
