This Week’s News

Well done to KIra in P5/6. Kira has been working hard at the Rainbow Swim Scheme at Castle Douglas Pool and has been asked to go to a Swimming Academy in Dumfries. Well done to our Super Swimmer.

P1-4 classes met together to share work that they have been doing about Scotland. Every pupil also had a challenge to share some information about someone special from Scotland. There were lots of great ideas including news about mums, dads and grandparents as well as other famous Scots such as Katie Morag, The Loch Ness Monster and John Logie Baird!

Coming Up Next Week:

On Monday we have a Gateway Meeting at 6pm in our Hall for P7 Parents and Pupils to meet Mr Donnelly and Mrs Harvey from Castle Douglas High School.

We also have a PTA Meeting at 6pm in the Staffroom to which everyone is welcome.

On Tuesday P4a and P4b are heading off to Edinburgh to visit the Royal Scottish Museum to find out more about Vikings in Scotland.

On Wednesday P5 are travelling to the Robert Burns Museum in Alloway as part of their Scottish History topic.

We have Nursery Enrolments on Wednesday and Thursday next week – please come to the School Office in the first instance.

P6 and & classes have Rugby coaching on Thursday and our P7 girls will also be experiencing a Girls Cricket coaching session.

On Friday P4b will be sharing their class work with us at an Assembly and we also have the PTA Bingo to look forward to at 6:30pm.

Please note that the  date for the School Photographer has had to be changed. Tempest Photography will now be visiting us on Monday 23rd March for Nursery and School Photographs (not Friday 27th February.)
