Today our classroom transformed into a French bistro for the afternoon! 🗼🥐 The pupils practised their French vocabulary and conversation skills by taking on the roles of customers and waiters. They used French to order food and drinks, ask questions, and take orders, just like in a real café.
It was fantastic to see everyone building confidence speaking French and using the phrases we have been learning. After all their hard work, the class had the chance to order and taste a selection of delicious French pastries… but only after ordering them in French, of course!
🥐✨ This learning links to the 🌍UNCRC Article 29 – Goals of Education, which highlights that education should help children develop their talents, abilities and cultural understanding. Through learning French and exploring French food culture, pupils are broadening their knowledge of the world and developing important communication skills.
