Changemakers Groups
At Bowmore Primary, our Changemakers Groups bring together pupils from P3–P7 to work collaboratively to make a positive difference in our school and community. Through our citizenship groups—Eco Schools, Digital Leaders and Reading Schools—children develop their understanding of rights, responsibility and active citizenship. The groups meet regularly throughout the term to plan and lead projects. Our current focus is improving the school grounds, including creating play equipment from scrap materials, planting trees and hedges, and developing a vegetable garden. Through this work, children build teamwork, leadership and real-life problem-solving skills while making meaningful change.
Our mini changemaker groups in P12 also work towards these goals.
