Hello everyone, Mrs Lockhart here again. Hope you are all well.
Today you can find your work for Mrs Dobbie in her folder in class materials. This is independent work as Mrs Dobbie is in school today. I will meet with you in a check in at 11.00 with a live lesson on time and again after lunch at 1.30 for a catch up and dictation. We are covering RME /French with Mrs Dobbie, a digital time, dictation and reading.
Don’t forget it is good to have regular brain breaks and to get some fresh air.
As usual I have written down times to try and help with organisation but feel free to move things around or do them later if that’s easier.

2.00 Next task is to read a non-fiction book. New book choice – Along the Silk Road and Animal Rescue Centre. The worksheet (Questions before, during, after) is in Class Materials, Mrs Lockhart, Thursday 11.3.21. Remember Along the Silk Road is a little trickier so choose that one if you’re a confident reader.
The follow up task is the same for each book. Watch the powerpoint
Then complete the first part of the worksheet below (the before bit) when you have just looked at the front cover. Fill in the during bit of worksheet as you go along. Finally fill in the questions you have after the book is completed.

Remember to write your stories in your jotters or paper. I will have a live check in with you all about 10:15 am to hear some examples of your writing!

Task: In the Class Materials – Mrs Hillan folder in files section you will find your task for today – Triangles Group (5x table tasks) and Squares & Circles Group (8x table tasks) will both be there – pick the task set for your group. Please put your complete task via photo or whatever works best for you into your folder in the files section. All tasks are in Class Materials – Mrs Hillan Folder in files. Reading

Once you have listened to this you can try the Reading Comprehension task that is detailed below. There is a Mild, Spicy and Hot activity – you can choose which one you want to do. Remember to challenge yourself where you can!! After this you can use the Blooms Superhero cards to create some questions connected to one of your group readers from Raintree Online. Try to pick a question for most/all sections if you can. I will check back in with you all around 2:15

Task: Read the Comprehension Task on The History of Winnie The Pooh and then answer the questions that follow. Remember you can go back to the text as often as you like and some questions may require to give your own answers and your opinion. Try to answer in full sentences where required. There is a Mild, Spicy and Hot task to choose from. Add your completed comprehension into your folder, these can just be written on a piece of paper and don’t need to be printed off. You can choose which one to do, and also feel free to do both if you wish! Please remember, all tasks with me are in ‘Class Materials – Mrs Hillan’. If you finish, use the BLOOMS superhero cards to see if you can answer some questions on your own Group Reader (Raintree) – pick at least one question from each section to try. The Blooms Superhero card is in our folder.
Using your spelling words again, Choose 5 of your spelling words and write down the dictionary definition for your word. Try to use an online dictionary to help you or a dictionary you have at home. There is a sheet to help you in files or you can do this in your jotter/paper. Add these/photo of these into your folder once finished.
Tomorrow it will be Mrs Lockhart back with you. I shall hopefully see you all back in school next week, looking forward to seeing you all!!! Have a lovely weekend when it comes!
Good morning everyone! Hope you all had a good day yesterday. Our daily plan is here: Daily Plan- Tues 9th March 2021. I’ll post some Go Noodle activities below to get you started today and waken you up ready for the day ahead.
After you have completed this, there are some activities in Mrs Dobbie’s folder for you to complete or continue to work on. Mrs Dobbie is also in school, so there will be no check in with her. Her activities are in the folder for you to work through after your Go Noodle activities.
S/C I can use my knowledge of what I have read and my knowledge of questioning to ask at least 5 closed questions and 5 open questions.
Task: You can use the Questioning sheet in ‘Class Materials – Mrs Hillan’ folder or just write it on a piece of paper/jotter. You can create more than 5 of each question if you wish – just remember to check if they are open or closed questions. Please put a copy of these into your folder in the Files Section.

Spelling
Using your spelling words from yesterday, complete one or two of the tasks from the spelling task cards in the ‘Class Materials – Mrs Hillan’ folder in the Files section. Add your completed tasks/photos into your folder in Files.
Task: In Class Materials- Mrs Hillan in the files section you will find your Multiplication activities. There are textbook/activity book pages for each group – Triangles –Activity Book pg 28 and Textbook pg 38, Squares/Circles – Textbook pg 39. Please put your completed sheets or the sums on paper into your folder in the files section once you have finished.
Please continue with your Scottish Personal Project. I have put the sheet again in ‘Class Materials – Mrs Hillan’ called Personal Project Pointers, giving the sorts of things you should and might want to include in your personal project – you can be working on this at any time you wish. It would be good to hear your views on the things you are doing your project on too. Next week we can hopefully all share these back in school.
