Good morning everyone!
Tasks for today are…
I would like you to revise using commas around speech. Below I have added a link to BBC Bitesize. I would love for you to watch the video clips to help you and to complete the activities below. You do not need to print off any of the worksheets, you can just write some examples of speech on a piece of paper. *Also don’t worry about the editing activity at the end if you do not have access to see it. That can be a challenge task if needed.
*The website says to take a new line when a new character us speaking, although we do not do that.
I hope you like the video and the speech marks rap!😊
I was impressed with how well you got on yesterday with finding fractions of amounts. I would like you to revise this today by completing the sheet below.
Remember to look back to the video clip I shared yesterday if you need to be reminded how to work out fractions of amounts.
Good morning everyone😄
I hope you have had fun the past two days.
Tasks for today are…
I would like you all to try the comprehension work below. Your skills are developing really well and comprehension is tricky to complete independently so I am very proud of you all.💫
I was very impressed with your division work over the last two weeks. Lots of boys and girls have told me they now have a better understanding which is fabulous!
We are going to start looking at fractions. This is revision, although we have not looked at fractions this year so it might be tricky to think back to last year. I have put a video clip below to help remind you.
You can see from the video clip that you will be using your divison to help you find fractions of amounts. I would like you to try and answer the questions below.
- 1/2 of 28
- 1/2 of 120
- 1/3 of 90
- 1/4 of 36
- 1/5 of 60
- 1/7 of 49
- 1/9 of 81
- 1/6 of 42
*Remember you can put this sum into the algorithm you were practicing last week to help you with these.
- 1/9 of 126
- 1/7 of 112
- 1/4 of 104
- 1/6 of 282
- 1/8 of 360
I am looking forward to hearing from you today😊
Good morning boys and girls!

Sports Day – Monday 15th June
I don’t know what equipment you have at home or what the weathers going to be like so I’ve tried to keep this accessible to everyone.
You don’t have to complete everything. Choose things that you think you will enjoy – and try and push yourself!!!
Have fun and ask family members to join in. Let me know how you got on and try and post me some photos.
- Egg and spoon race – use whatever you have, apple/potato – how many laps can you do?
- Sack race – maybe use a pillow case – ask an adult!!!!!!! – how far can you go?
- Daily 15 – can you hop/skip/jump/run/walk for 15 minutes
- Instead of splat the teacher, splat the adult with a wet sponge – please ask the adult!!! – how many times can you hit them on the legs?
- Can you create an obstacle course? How many times can you go round it?
- Throw and clap. How many times can you throw a ball/pair of socks up , clp your hands and catch it?
- Blindfold balance. Wrap a blindfold/scarf around your eyes – no cheating!!! – and see how long you can balance on one leg without holding onto anything.
- Book balance. Put a book – more than 1 if you want a challenge!!! – on your head and see how long you can walk about for before the book drops.
- Stand up/Sit down. Sit on a chair, how many times can you stand up and sit down without stopping?
- How many times can you bounce a ball on a tennis racquet? You can use a frying pan and a pair of socks too.
- How long can you go on your bike/scooter/roller skates/trampoline for?
- Three legged race
- How many step ups in 30 seconds – using front, back or inside steps
- Wheelbarrow – get your parent, carer or sibling to help you out, see how fast you can complete a lap
- “Egg Toss” – yourself and one other stand apart, using an apple, socks, egg, anything, see how many throws you can get without dropping the ball. Teamwork.
- Hurdles – using some equipment from your garden, or towels from your house, set them up with small spaces in between, see how far you can get the hurdles apart
- Speed Bounce – Have an item on the ground that you can jump over. Standing with your feet together you need to jump over the item side to side without touching the item in the middle – see how many times you can jump over
- Shot put – Using a sock
- On line activities – you tube

This will be a sports day like no other. Your class teacher won’t be posting today. Make the most of it 🙂
Good morning everyone!
I hope you have all had a great week. Thank you to those who have sent me a message or work⭐️
Today is Finish off Friday. Have a look through the Blog or Class Dojo to check you have given the tasks a go this week😊
Also on Monday it is our online Sports Day which should be good fun!
I hope you all have a lovely weekend, keep smiling😃💫
Now during lockdown we have had to stop going places, stay home and learn to keep busy around the house. Life has become very simple and I don’t know about you but I look forward to mealtimes and going to bed as that’s all we’ve been allowed to do!!
I have attached PowerPoint that will show you about our body clocks. Everyone from P1-P7 can look at the ppt as I have added audio in.
Body Clocks ppt
Now the activity I have is on the last slide and I just want you to think about what you do in 24hours.
For P1-3 You can chat to someone in your house about what your body clock is like, then either write a few sentences about it or film a clip of you talking about it. You don’t have to complete the clock template unless you’d like to.
P4-7 you can all complete the clock template.
I hope you enjoy learning about the clock inside of us all that makes us want to eat, sleep and get busy. I’ve certainly learned a few things whilst I have been preparing this for you.
I’ve included the pdf with the full size clock template here too.
Have a good day!
Mrs Campbell 😀
I have your Math’s task for today.
For LE, ML, LB, KC, DC and KA
I have the last installment for the spoiled party bags. Will you figure out who did it?
There are two activities one of them is to add the cost of the toys together. Remember to keep the decimal point in the answer and add anything carried over. The second activity shouldn’t take you too long as it is finding coordinates. I have given you the answers to Clues 1-3. Whodunnit?!
Spoiled Party Bags part 3
For CC, JG and SMcD play the top spot game, all the instructions and link is in the file below.
Top Spot instructions
Now complete the worksheet
Next Door numbersP5
Have a good day.
Mrs Campbell 😀
Good morning everyone! I hope you are all having a good week so far😊
Tasks for today…
I would love you to complete a writing journal piece. We have been doing them when we were still in school so hopefully you all remember.✏️
This is your chance to choose what you would like to write about. It can be what you have been up to, hoe you are feeling or you can use the “I know what it feels like to…” layout.
Remember this is still a writing piece so it should not just be a few sentences. I would like you to add in lots of detail and your thoughts and feelings. This is also independent work so have a really good try at sounding out spelling words and remember your punctuation.⭐️
I am looking forward to reading your journal writing😃
*Mrs Campbell has set the Maths Seeds group a Maths task for today.
For the rest of the class I would like you to give the 4 questions below a go. They are quite tricky today because it is working on your 8 and 9 times tables. You can use your multiplication square if you would like to help you. Although, remember the grouping and sharing method to help you.
I would like you to complete the questions in your Maths jotter and putting the questions into the written algorithm method, remembering to carry your remainders.
If you need any help then please give me a message. I am looking forward to seeing your hard work.💫
