HIGHER GEOGRAPHY FIELDTRIP

Well done to over 90 Higher and N5 pupils who travelled to Glasgow over the last two weeks with Mrs Carruthers, Miss Curley, Ms Lynas and Mr Britton. The pupils completed some Urban research which is an essential part of the course for the Assignment. Pupils conducted questioneers, completed an Environmental Quality Survey and studied recent changes in Glasgows CBD. We were unlucky with the weather on day two of the trip but managed to gather enough information before we landed back in Coatbridge.

Debate Club

Well Done to the 11 junior members of the Debate Club who took part in the recent Coatbridge Youth Conference in Townhead Community Centre on Tuesday 3rd of November.   The pupils were highly praised by the organisers of the conference for their excellent contribution and a great day out was had by all.

GEOGRAPHY COMPETITION

Our “WHERE IN THE WORLD” Geography competition is up and running again. The competition is open to all pupils who should try and guess where in the world Mrs Carruthers, Miss Curley and Ms Lynas are. Well done to the Geography pupils who recently entered our LANDMARK competition. We were impressed with the standard, quality and effort which was put into each landmark. Mr Healy was invited up to pick the winners and they were as follows.
