Play on pedals

We were learning to walk our bikes and scooters round to the big school playground. We had to be very careful when going past the cars.

We were learning how to use the space when maneuvering our bikes and scooters.

We found different ways to move safely when playing on the trim track.

Sponsored walk

We went on our sponsored walk. We took Ziggy with us and we were learning how to stay safe when crossing the road.

“we look left, right, Left”

“We hold hands and squeeze them tight”

“we use our brain”

When we were out we found some autumn leaves that had fallen onto the ground. We made Autumn Leaves our nursery rhyme of the week.

Maths week

We are learning to play colour dominoes. We are beginning to match the colours and sometimes we can name them too.   As we play the game we make a long pattern of colour.

I have been learning to play matching pairs on the smart board, I am beginning to understand that I turn over one then turn over another to find a pair that are the same.

We were sorting the balls into different colours.

We had to count out the correct number of balls.

We are colour sorting during tidy up time.

We use nursery rhymes to explore number. We sang our favourites “5 little speckled frogs” and “5 little men in a flying saucer”. We used visuals and our fingers to help us count.

We are exploring 3D shapes while using the blocks. We are learning which ones will stack or roll and using this to problem solve and build a big city.
