Autumn

We all had a great October break and are back ready and enthusiastic to learn.

We are exploring a mini topic at the moment all about Autumn. We loved hearing the story, ‘Wide Awake Hedgehog’. We enjoyed hearing all about Isaac the hedgehog and this prompted lots of great discussions about Autumn and hibernating animals. We went out on an walk looking for signs of Autumn, we came back to class and drew some great detailed drawings about all the things we saw. We also had great fun doing some leaf printing.

In Numeracy this week we have been counting on and back in ones on a numbered track and have enjoyed playing the more and less spinner game with our class mates. We are beginning to understand that each number is one less than the next one.

The highlight of our week has to be the Parents Workshop. We were so excited to welcome our parents into our classroom and to show them what we do and how we learn. We had great fun playing games and showing off our knowledge!

Pictures to follow soon.
