Holy Cross Primary

Junior Road Safety Officers

Our Latest Campaign

During the month of October the children have been participating in a ‘Be Bright, Be Seen’ competition.  The infant classes created a new Hi Vis waist coat and the upper school classes created a Road Safety poster.  Our JRSO chose the winners.  What a fantastic effort from all the children.  Well done.

We took part in the Hands Up Scotland Survey

JRSO Speeding assembly

************************************************************

JRSO is an important part of our learning at Holy Cross.  We have 5 Fantastic pupil leaders who help Mrs Doherty to educate the pupils at school with ways to stay safe when out and about on the roads.  There are 2 Primary 7 leaders and there are 3 Primary 6 pupils. Our JRSO programme links very closely with our Rights Respecting Schools where all children within our school learn about rights through Road Safety.

Meet Our JRSO TEAM:

The JRSO team already keep our notice board up to date with Tip of the Week and help to organise competitions as well as spread the safety messages about being safe.  As well as this, they deliver assemblies every month (virtual and whole school) to highlight key messages.
