P.7 WW2 Exhibition

As part of our IDL topic on World War 2, we selected and used materials to create 3D models of various items such as Anderson Shelters and Gas Masks. We set up an exhibition of our work and invited some other classes in the school to come along for a look. While they were there we answered their questions about how we made our models, as well as giving them information about the objects and how they were used during the war. We loved sharing our work with our peers.

Cardinal Newman P.E.

In Primary 7 we have been enjoying participating in weekly P.E. sessions delivered by senior pupils from Cardinal Newman High School. So far we have been working on our fitness and learning new games. These sessions will continue throughout the year until Easter, when we will end the experience by attending Cardinal Newman’s Sports Day with all of the other Primary 7 classes in our cluster.

Home from Kilbowie

Our last night was a raving success! We had an amazing time with friends old and new at the legendary Kilbowie disco. One of our instructors, Adam, was our DJ for the night, and he didn’t let us down. The music blared and everyone danced the night away. After the disco we said goodnight at Kilbowie one last time before heading off to bed in preparation for Friday’s homeward journey. Thankfully the weather improved quite a bit for our bus ride home, and the journey went without a hitch. We are so proud of our Primary 7s and all they have achieved this week. Well done! Kilbowie we will miss you!

More from Kilbowie

We have had so many adventures over the last couple of days! Even the rainy weather hasn’t dampened our spirits. We have been gorge walking, coasteering, orienteering, mountain biking, skiing and even managed to squeeze in time for a secret pyjama party! Everyone is excited for our disco tonight. We have had an amazing week away, but we are looking forward to coming home and sharing our stories with our families and friends.

Kilbowie Day One

Well, what a day we have had today! For a moment it looked like the wintery weather might put a stop to our trip, but after a nail-biting wait we got the all clear and set off on our journey up to Oban. When we arrived we settled into our rooms, had lunch and met our instructors before heading out on our first activities of the week. It’s safe to say everyone has had a ball. We are having some quiet time just now before we head out for our night time activities. More updates to follow.

Halloween Celebrations

We had a brilliant time celebrating Halloween in our school last week. Well done to all of the children and teachers who dressed up for the occassion – you all looked fantastic! During the day we had a parade for our pupils, who entertained us with their costumes and jokes, and at night we held our annual Halloween Family Night. As always, a great time was had by all! Many thanks to the PTA who worked hard to make the event a success.
