This week we finished reading our reading books so have been writing summaries and giving our opinion. We focused on character description in writing and have been reminding ourselves to use capital letters and full stops correctly.

In Numeracy we were given a budget of £100 and had to ‘buy’ Christmas presents for everyone in our family, making sure we stuck to our budget. We had to check the prices of each item on different sites to make sure we were getting the best deal too. We really enjoyed this challenge and now have lots of ideas for presents!

For our WW2 topic we found out about Morse Code and enjoyed trying this out. We also looked at the use of propaganda during the war and designed our own posters.

With Ms Kelso we completed our biographies of Anne Frank and started to design Christmas jumpers which we will be advertising next week. We also created timetables and learned how to use them to plan a journey.

We were really pleased to have Miss Schaschke join us this week and she is going to be with us for three weeks before Christmas and then will join us again in the new year,
