We enjoyed some outdoor learning this week where we found things in nature to create our spelling words outside.
In maths we have been working on place value and multiplying by tens, hundreds and thousands. This seemed tricky at first but we learned that if we do it in two steps it is much more straightforward!
We have moved on to Justin’s part in Wonder and he is Via’s boyfriend. We discovered that Justin is a musician in a band and is quite a shy person. He doesn’t really get much attention at home so he really enjoys spending time with Via’s family. We discover he is also a very loyal person because he sticks up for Jack when he is being bullied even though he normally likes to go unnoticed. We learned about PEE while we wrote about Justin. We had to make a Point, give Evidence and then Explain our thoughts. This meant we had a really detailed answer which was much more interesting!
In Art we started to create pictures of Autumn leaves falling off the trees. We are hoping to have them completed for next week. Can you believe it is Autumn already!
We had great fun out in the playground doing orienteering with Gary Moore our Active Schools Coordinator. We had iPads which told us different places around the school to find and had to take selfies at the spot to prove we were there.
We seem to have a problem uploading photos this week so hopefully next week we will have more!
