P4 Term 1 Curriculum Outline

September Update

P4 have been very busy since returning in August. Our photos show us enjoying outdoor learning where we have been developing our team work skills by exploring signs of autumn and building dens. We have also been developing our ICT skills on Microsoft Word creating tables, inserting pictures and editing text.

P4 Term 2 Curriculum Outline (1)

October and November Update

We have had a busy 2 months in P4! We have been enjoying outdoor learning and learning about balances during our gymnastics lessons. We had a fantastic time at our trip to Dundonald Castle to find out all about the Vikings and we even got to make Viking medicine and try on some Viking clothing.

December Update

We have had a busy December preparing for our Christmas Concert. We performed ‘Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer’ and we were absolutely fantastic! We also had an excellent time at our Christmas party.

P4 Term 3 Curriculum Outline

January Update

We have had a great start to 2024 in P4 and have enjoyed learning our Scottish poem ‘Fireworks Aff the Castle’ by Matthew Fitt. We also have been exploring the work of Charles Rennie Mackintosh and Steven Brown as part of our art lessons. We were fascinated by the story of ‘Nessie the Loch Ness Monster’ and worked in groups to create Nessie. They were absolutely fantastic!

February Update

We have been using laptops and iPads to research information about Australia as part of our topic.  We learned all about Sydney Opera House and created a fact file using the information we had researched. We also worked together in pairs to create fantastic Power Point Presentations about a native Australian animal.
