For No Pens Wednesday, we took our learning outside and used cones and hoops to create times table arrays. We worked on the 2, 5 and 10 times tables. It was easy to count the hoops and find the answer when it was in front of us.
Literacy
P4/3 have been working on ORACY skills through playing different games. We have looked at effective questioning and used the game ’20 Questions’ to work on the skill. We had to guess which animal was on the screen and ask our class mates appropriate questions to find the answer.

In relation to our topic, ‘Pugs of the Frozen North’, P4/3 created boats that can float in water. We used lollipop sticks, straws and cellotape to piece our boats together. Marbles and dice were used to measure how sturdy our boats were. The winning boat managed to hold a whopping 39 dice!
Outdoor Learning
P4/3 have taken their learning outdoors and used their problem solving skills to create a den that a person can fit under and is waterproof. We used loose parts to make the den and had great fun putting it together as a team.
