Curriculum Outline CB10 Term 1
Term 1
Classbase 10 have had a lovely start to the new school year! We are very excited to now be in Primary 2 and 3. We have been taking part in lots of outdoor learning opportunities and enjoyed exploring numbers and shapes outside. We have been focusing on Phonics and Nursery Rhymes in literacy and have taken part in activities based on these. One of our favourite activities in CB10 is food technology! We have been busy building on our cutting skills and making lots of delicious snacks!

We had a lot of festivals to celebrate during November such as Diwali, Bonfire Night and St. Andrews Day! Thanks to the lovely November weather we had, there was plenty of time to explore outdoors! We started our Recycling theme and discovered how we could use recycled materials to make new objects such as bird feeders and bug hotels.
We had a very festive month in Classbase 10! We took part in festive literacy and numeracy activities such as winter patterns, creating winter pictures using different shapes and building festive CVC words. Everyone worked hard on their letter and number formation. We had lots of fun at our Supported Learning Christmas Party and enjoyed having the Jiggly Wrigglers in to lead a session with us.
Happy New Year Classbase 10! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and New Year. We were very excited to start our Superhero topic…something we are very passionate about! We have been making our own Superheroes using a variety of 2D shapes as well as building Superhero cities using Numicon. We have enjoyed visiting the local playpark while furthering our knowledge of road safety out and about in the community!
