Children who are eligible for 1140 hours are provided with a free school meal they will also be provided with a healthy morning snack such as toast or cereal.
Nursery lunches are prepared freshly each day and delivered to the Centre. The menu rotates on a 3 weekly cycle and different menus are available if a child has specific dietary requirements.
Smillie Room
Staff in the Smillie Room will take your child’s order on a daily basis.
Rainbow Room
Children in the Rainbow Room use a visual display when choosing their lunch for the day. A visual menu is available in the corridor for children to choose their lunch before they go into the playroom. a member of staff will be available on door duty to offer support if needed.
Milk and water will also be provided. Your child may bring a packed lunch if they prefer however, we ask that you do not send items which contain nuts.
The link below offers information about preventing choking in young children. We would appreciate if you could take this into consideration when making your child’s packed lunch as we are not able to provide certain food items in the nursery.
