Learning Journals

At Gibshill Children’s Centre, we use online Learning Journals to record and share children’s learning with their parents.

Usually, when a parent asks their child “What did you do at nursery?” they often reply “Nothing.” or “I don’t know.”.

The Learning Journals offers parents an insight into their child’s day at nursery and the, many, things they have been learning and experiences they have participated in.

When your child begins nursery, you will be given a form to complete to gather consent and ensure we have an up-to-date email address. You will then receive your own personal login details allowing you to access the Learning Journals – you will only be able to see your own child’s journal.

You can then begin to view your child’s journal and we encourage parents to share children’s learning and achievements from home and other activities e.g. dancing, football, gymnastics etc.

For more information on how to access the learning journals, please speak to a member of staff.
