Children’s Wellbeing

Gibshill Children’s Centre is committed to providing a safe, secure and nurturing learning environment for every child who attends our Centre.

Through play and learning experiences, our staff promote and nurture children’s health and wellbeing in various ways including:

  • providing healthy snacks and lunches
  • our Grow it, Cook it, Eat it programme enables children to grow fruit and vegetables in our own nursery garden and learn how to use this to make healthy meals such as soup and homemade pasta sauce.
  • PATHS gives children opportunities to learn about their emotions and how to manage challenging social situations

We understand that all children learn at their own pace and know that sometimes children may require a little more support at some stages of their learning journey.

In this instance, we work in partnership with parents to ensure children learn and develop in a way that is appropriate to their needs and stage of development.
