It’s been another busy and exciting week in Primary 1! The children have been working hard and enjoying lots of new experiences across the curriculum.

In maths, we have started learning about subtraction. The children explored taking away using practical resources, games and active activities. They showed great enthusiasm and confidence when sharing their thoughts.

We also had the opportunity to take part in a Taekwondo lesson this week. The children loved learning different moves and worked together as a class to improve their skills. It was a fantastic opportunity for them to be active and try something new.

In literacy, we started reading a new book together as a class. The children have been very engaged, sounding out the different words and discussing the different characters. We also consolidated the sounds ‘b’ and ‘u’, practising how to recognise them, say them clearly and use them in words through fun activities and games.

Well done to Primary 1 for such a positive week of learning!

I hope you all have a lovely weekend
