Gardening and Compost

This week room 7 have been helping create a new garden in the school grounds. We helped add soil to some new planters which are now behind the pitches. A massive thank you to Cambuslang Bowling Club for donating cores from their bowling green to fill our planters.

We are still in the process of moving all the soil from the bowling club and would love anyone who can help us bag and move more soil to the school.

Room 18 came to join room 7 on Tuesday and we learned all about how we can make compost from waste fruit, vegetables and plants. We now have a composter in our new school garden – and Mrs Norton brought some worms from her compost at home to give it a little head start.

We can’t wait to start seeing all our food waste create compost to grow some brilliant plants.
