This week in Room 5 we have been learning a new sound, ‘ay’. Some of the words we have been practicing are ‘day, away, always and today’ these are also our common words. In maths we have been learning about 2D shape, the shapes we looked at oval, circle, rectangle, square, triangle, hexagon and a pentagon. We learned about their corners and sides. We learned about Shields during our knights and castles topic, and created our own shields with designs about our favourite colour, animals, and our favourite things. We also learned the Military 2 Step during P.E to link into our scottish castles topic as that is one of the dances that they would do. We started our science topic of Plants and Animals, we learned about Biodiversity and went on a Biodiversity Hunt looking for different plants and insects. Miss O’Brien taught us how to say How are you Feeling in French this week too.
