Newton Farm Primary School and Nursery Class

This Week in Room 13

This week we had a visit from our Young STEM Leaders who taught us all about effervescent reactions! They were all so helpful and talked us through our learning so well.

Whave been learning about plants and how they grown. We used the Indi’s to create a continuous circular pathway for us to plot the life cycle of a plant onto. Some of the pupils made very creative algorithms.

We also dissected some daffodils, labelling each part of the flower and stating its purpose.

As the weather was so lovely we took our art lesson outside and further developed our sketching skills by using the grid method.

We also went on our class trip to Kelvingrove Park and Museum! Colleen from the RSPB led us in some birdwatching in the park. We saw lots of birds we knew, even some Goldfinches and mallards! We then took ourselves around the museum, sketching things we found interesting. The pupils were a credit to our school ☺️

”It was my most fun day at school” – Duncan

Congratulations also to our Star Writer Hannah L and to Charlotte who was awarded the RESPECT certificate at our assembly!
